I don't know what Bob in NJ is talking about. Yes, you can buy heirs'
interest in an estate. Yes, you can hire an attorney to administer it. It's
technical, sometimes complicated, and can take time, but it can be
done if the value is there.Can you tell us any more about the "abandoned property." If you are
referring to unclaimed monies held by a state, that's something
different and may require lots of disclosures and sharing with the heirs.
Most states have regs regarding heir hunting, but that's also specific in
what it applies to and how.If you can tell us more about the property type and how you found it.
